As Cathedral Architect, Chris Romain is responsible for the general well being of the building fabric. The Cathedral has its' own team of stonemasons who work under the direction of the Cathedral Architect.

In addition to repairs to the building, new works include new workshops, proposed toilets, new energy effecient lighting and heating, access for the disabled and visitor facilities.
